Cadiz is the gateway to Land Between the Lakes, sitting about 25 miles west of Hopkinsville on US-68. It is Trigg County's seat and the closest town to the 170,000-acre recreation area between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. That location means Cadiz gets some of the heaviest wildlife pressure in the region. Raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and bats move directly out of the LBL corridor into lake homes, rural properties, and the older housing in town.
We cover Cadiz and Trigg County as part of our western Kentucky service area. KDFWR licensed. This region needs professional wildlife control because the animal pressure never lets up.
Lake homes around Cadiz sit right in prime bat foraging territory. The water bodies of Land Between the Lakes and the surrounding forest provide ideal bat habitat, and Big Brown Bats readily roost in the eaves and attics of homes near the lakes. Older properties in town have the aging construction details, mortar gaps, fascia separation, open vents, that give bats easy entry.
Bat maternity season (mid-May through August 15) means exclusion work cannot happen until mid-August. We schedule inspections now and book exclusion for the fall. Call today.
The proximity to LBL makes Cadiz a raccoon hotspot. These animals are dense in the recreation area and spill over into residential Cadiz constantly. Uncapped chimneys, deck spaces, and crawlspaces are prime den sites. We also handle heavy squirrel and opossum activity throughout Trigg County.
KDFWR licensed. 24/7 response. Bat, raccoon, squirrel, and wildlife control.
